I know we call lots of things grasshoppers and that they range in size but I was wondering exactly what this one was. Since it wasn't a lubber, I left it alone. It is sitting in my Black Cherry (Prunus serotina) tree. Blends in really well, doesn't it?

Sure does blend in well! It looks like it might be one of these, an angle-wing katydid :
