Yesterday two Clint Eastwood Rowdy Reds. My first time growing this variety, seeds from Tomatoville. Planted indoors in February under lights then outside during daytime weather permitting thru early April when it went in the ground. Great taste and my husband, daughter and I gobbled them up. Many more to come!
Have you any red ones yet? Post here, tell us the variety if you know it and about when planted.

What a fun idea for a thread! Thumbs up

Hurray for first ripe tomatoes of the season. Those look really nice.

Nothing ripe here yet as it is way too early. I do have lots of green fruit though.

Clint Eastwood was sort of lemony, very good.
Today had a Black from Tula, very tomato-y, LOL hard to describe. It just seemed to taste like my idea of a tomato from childhood. Its supposed to be one of the best tasting black tomato... all in all it was excellent.

@newyorkrita congrats on your Juliet, from all the many plants you have it sounds like there will be an avalanche of red tomatoes very soon! Keep letting us know as they ripen, I'm always wanting to learn about different tomato varieties.

I have 15 tomato plants, but our weather has been so bad that the amount of fruit setting is way behind. Cool, rainy temps mean tomatoes aren't growing much, nor getting ripe. Sigh.....

On the other hand, the plants are huge--they have jungle-like growth, just not much fruit!!!!

Tomatoes like it hot. When I lived in Buffalo I grew a short season tomato that worked out pretty well but can't remember what it was. Confused

It actually was blander than they usually are. Still, it wasn't bad and I am sure the rest will be fine.

I am overrun with red tomatoes but I learned that I really do like black tomatoes. And unfortunately Black from Tulsa has issues with fungus or something so now I'm on a quest foe a black tomato that tastes great but also disease resistant.
