Compare this to the other entries on the data base. The center of the leaf of HP is darker, the Margin lighter, sometimes nearly white.

I agree. The appropriate shades of color are transposed in Leslie's photo, as if it should be called 'Panky Hanky.' Big Grin

It may be Striptease or one of several similar sports that were introduced. Hanky Panky is a sport from the Striptrease family.

It was sold to me as Hanky Panky. I'm pretty new to hostas so it may be wrong. Now I'm afraid to upload any pics.

Even those who sell Hostas make mistakes. Please, please, please do not hesitate to share your pictures. We are ALL learning and this is one way to learn. . I will feel very badly if my comment discouraged you. I didn't mean to do so. I have made my share of mistakes. You have wonderful pictures which will be a good addition to the data base. Candidly, I always hesitate questioning an ID and will now hesitate to do so......

I agree, post the pics with the best info you have on them, I learn from making mistakes. I should be very smart! If you had not posted that photo you would not have learned that it was wrong!
You know daylilies and I am sure you could spot a few wrong ones in database, hopefully none of mine....
If you suspect one is not right you can always post a photo and ask for some help. But if you bought something that is labeled, you assume most times that it is correct.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for you kind words. I feel much better now. I've grown daylilies for years but have only recently gotten into hostas. The fact that they change color during the season makes it even harder for me to know what I'm doing.

I'm going to take pics as I water today. Please let me know if you think I may have made mistakes on the labels. We DO want to keep the database as correct as we can.
