How long does the pollen keep for?? I have to store some pollen here for another lily that is not going to bloom for a few more weeks. Do I just put it in the fridge?

You're killing me Della! I could saved you some white butterflies but it's done blooming! I do have lemon sauce which hasn't bloomed yet. I will save some for you.

Hilarious! Sorry Joe! Lemon Sauce sounds good. Thumbs up

Pat, your pollen should keep a few weeks at least in the fridge, as long as it is properly dried first and kept dry.

Della, I just harvested some 'Satin Slippers' pollen for you.
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?

I only have one clone and oh how I have tried, and tried and tried. And it doesn't seem to want to cross with anything that happens to be in bloom at the same time either - Ll. leichtlinii, maculatum var. wilsonii, leichtlinii x maculatum, majoense, a few other asiatic normal hybrids of commerce, even tried Kushi Maya and aurelians. But yesterday I emailed a friend from the Scottish Rock Garden Club (whom I know also grows it) if he could send me some pollen. (His in England is blooming now.) He replied today and is happy to oblige. Hurray!
