Oh so you meant one of those tiny houses like I see on TV when I watch Tiny House Hunters? Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Some are 200 square feet (or less). Of course some are much more.

Rita, I think your neighbors should let you grow in their yards.

Maybe if you told them you would have to cut some people off your "free tomatoes all summer" list unless you got more growing space ...

LOL -- funny because I just said to my husband, as we passed by the community garden area, that if I rented a spot (30' x 30') I could grow at least 50 tomato plants there.... but he just doesn't quite get my reasoning Confused

I tried renting a space in our community garden several years ago. The spaces there were small though. Mine was probably only 4'x8'. I grew some nice vegetables but I found that the drive to the garden, though only a couple of miles, was simply too far for what I harvested. I only rented the space one year.

I would never garden if I had to drive to get to my plot. I like to walk out my door and walk over to my vegetables.

Oh I wanted to say that I received an e-mail that the seeds I ordered yesterday are already shipped. Fast service.

I did that the one time just to support our community garden in its first year.

drdawg said:We need to set up a tomato seed swap. I also end up having far more than I can possibly use and end up throwing away perfectly good seeds every year. And not just tomato seeds..........all kinds of vegetable seeds.

NNNNOOOOOO! Never throw them out. There must be a garden club or somewhere to donate them. We have a caretaking home that encourages gardening and we donate our seeds to them. And our garden club.

But you could do a seed swap now that Dave has made it so easy!
