I know that the clump that the photo was taken from was labeled Silver Girl. But mistakes have been made.
In fact another beardless iris I took a picture of at Schreiners was definitely wrong.
Lets say it's not. Though, with all the cloudy weather the color saturation on this trip was amazing. But not that amazing.
I thought I had checked them all.
Well, I was going through my photos from Aitken's Salmon Creek Garden and found this photo.
Apparently, Silver Girl fades a LOT. My original photo is probably correct. The flower was fresh and the weather was overcast.
Coincidentally the article I read, either by Marty Schafer or Jan Sacks I'll have to look it up, featured some images of their sibs grown at Aitken's. I hope you add the clump shot to the database.
