Ashton - Congrats on getting rebloom on the Aztec Headdress seedling! I like that one more every time I see it. Aztec Headdress is one cultivar that always reblooms here. Good to know it can pass on that trait.

Cindy - Your Critics Choice bitone reached out and grabbed me.

Lisa - The Pufferfish baby is fabulous, and the Scissorhand sibs are lookin' good too!

Albatordu - Welcome! Your toothy seedling looks a lot like Bass Gibson. Was that one of the parents? What huge teeth is has!

Debra, it has good bud count and branching too. But, it isn't a good cold morning opener. Now for those down south, it probably would open just fine. Thanks!!!

Debra,
Aztec Headdress has never rebloomer here, same with Vivid Butterfly.
I have never had a registered daylily rebloom two years in a row.
I doubt that the seedling will rebloom next year, but I hope it does!
The only registered ones that rebloom are the new additions from Florida. (they don't rebloom ever again)

Do you grow Lillian's Vapor Trail and/or Galaxy Explosion? Both those have rebloomed two years in a row. I'd think my windy, hot, dry conditions would be somewhat similar to yours. Maybe not. And the third time may NOT be the charm, either.

I want to brag on 1 of 2 of my seedlings (one hasn't re-bloomed yet). This one bloomed for the very first time on 4/23. It re-bloomed on 5/21. And then just bloomed again today! This current re-bloom scape only has two buds. It did have two scapes, but when the scapes were very small and developing, I decided to amend the raised bed it is in and dug all my seedlings up in that area, amended the soil, and replanted them all. Yeah .... in this heatwave in Florida!!! What was I thinking???? I lost 2 seedling doing that. (What an idiot I am.) Because I work, I have limited time to do such things and had a week off and thought ... OH! let's amend and replant in that raised bed! Rolling my eyes. Rolling my eyes. Rolling my eyes.

So .... talk about a real trooper .... this seedling has taken a tremendous amount of abuse and still produced a re-bloom scape!!! It has 2 small fans. Unbelievable!!! So I have to brag on the toughness and determination of this plant.

Here is the bloom taken at 4:30 pm. It's looking pretty faded and starting to wilt, but none-the-less ... standing it's ground. I can just imagine what this plant might be able to do in perfect growing conditions! Whistling Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

Thumb of 2015-07-09/beckygardener/8a71f9

This photo is showing the 2 small fans and short scape (which I am sure the stress I put it through added to the stunted growth!!!):

This is basically what the bloom looked like this morning, but I did not have time to get a photo. This is a photo taken during the earlier bloom time this Spring:

My other dilemma with this seedling is it's parentage. It is either "Drink the Light x Saved by the Queen" or "Carolina June Bug x unknown". It appears to have a trace of teeth so perhaps neither of those possibilities are where this seedling came from. Whistling Confused

Wow, that is quite a poly bloom, maybe a fused bloom. I had Memories of Oz do that. Here is a pic of the flower and what the back of the flower looked like. The flower was awful looking and should be on an ugly thread.

Such beautiful seedlings, everyone! I'm totally impressed!

Here is the seedling that I'm the most impressed with at the moment, although I was slightly disappointed until the rebloom scape started blooming last week. The cross is Liz Salter's EASY ON THE EYES X PARROTS OF THE CARIBBEAN, and it's a small with blooms at 4" and the height of the rebloom scape at 20". Here was its first bloom back in early May. I was not impressed with it but was interested because one of my goals is to get a toothy mini or small.

And here it is a couple of days ago -- Now I love it!
Thumb of 2015-07-10/Betja/d0f9bf

This is seedling from STIPPLED STARSHIP X ALIEN FORCE, now in its second year of bloom. The first picture is from May when it started blooming, and the second is from about a week ago. And I couldn't help myself -- I've nicknamed it "FLOSSING"... And what a difference heating everything up by about 20 degrees makes!

And another seedling I like from the same cross.
Thumb of 2015-07-10/Betja/1a07c8

This one has a hint or overlay of burnt orange or brown on it or something, so I nicknamed it "LIGHTLY TOASTED." The cross is WICKEDLY WILD AND WONDERFUL X FLAMES OF BEAUTY.

Two more from the cross SOUTHWESTERN MEMORIES X RIO FIESTA that I like, especially the second one. They are about a foot shorter than the first one I posted a couple of months ago. And the seeds came from Dot (Ladylovingdove). She has wonderful seeds!

This is another seedling of SOUTHWESTERN MEMORIES X CAN'T TOUCH THIS, and it's a small on a pretty short plant -- so it's a keeper for now. I wonder if next year this will change to normal size for that cross... And again, seeds from Dot.
