I don't have any "fancy" lilies, but I'm quite happy with the few I have. This week on the bloom parade are a rain lily and a crinum

I've always thought about trying those one of these days. I'm unsure if they would grow here (I don't see them in nurseries so that tells me something).

Years ago I had some "fancy" ones, but I managed to croak them...maybe it's time to try again.

Pard, they will grow there and do very well, UNLESS there is an unusual cold spell. the Crinum can get huge, I quit selling them since we couldn't dig them with a front loader during the rainy season for spring sales. Try a small variety in case you ever want to move it.
The rain lilies did well to, unless there was a really bad cold spell, they are small enough to grow in a pot or lift for the winter in case that happens.

Come to think of it, I think I did try some rain lilies a long time ago, before I knew squat about plants. Obviously I didn't know how to take care of them (I'm sure they were in pots).

well they like to dry out between waterings, just like a lily so too much "rain' is not good in a pot.

Yea...mine is blooming right now because we've had quite a bit of rain lately
