Nice to see that bloom, Annie's Annuals carries it but it gets too big for my yard. Well, most of the salvias do!

Well, if and when you move, you'll have a long list of plants you've been wanting to grow..and what fun you'll have! I finally realized something today...judging by his truck and room, my son is a 'hoarder'...then it hit me..the H is also, workshop overflowing and I'm the same but with the plants, so I guess my son has inherited the tendency...we just hoard different things.

Sherry, you can't imagine how much I appreciate all the photos you keep adding to this thread. It really is a wonderful salvia catalogue.

Alas, I don't have the patience or interest in the artwork of photography as does Sue, or we'd have some beautiful photos.

I found you, Sherry. Want to thank you for the Mexican Sage and Blackberry starts you brought to Temecula for me. Only 2 of the Sage's survived (DH like to let the horses roam free occasionally (S&*t!) and the tromped 2. I have 3 of the blackberries going (a guy clearing weeds pulled 2) and I shared the other with a neighbor. Here is a photo of one. I LOVE it! Just love the velvet look.

I have a couple red salvias that I do not know the name of. I believe the tag had said they were annuals. While the original from a couple years ago died, there have been some new ones crop up. The oldest is in a clay pot now and it started 2 new ones, including the one in the foreground below and one that just moved in on and on top of a newly planted 'sun' gardenia. So far these red 'annuals' have survived the down to 23 degree weather around Thanksgiving week!

Only just found out the name of 'The Other Place' where so many have gone. Yesterday was my first day and I am going through finding those, like your, who I knew had left DG, but did not know where you had gone to. Now I am seeing so many names I know that I had not even realized I was not seeing any more 'over there.

Most likely salvia coccinea..it reseeds rather freely.

Yep...you'll find quite a few familiar people on cubits. It can take a little getting used to, finding your way around, but there are lots of new venues and ideas. We're rather pleased to be here...lol...

Well welcome Lynda, glad you did find your way over! There are some great features that we are really enjoying over here that Dave has implemented, takes some getting used to but it's very exciting.
