It was suggested to me to post in this forum hoping that perhaps someone can help ID a plant for me. If you would please, take a look at this thread in the ID Forum:

Hmmmm .... I think Hetty may have found the ID!!!! THANK YOU, Hetty!

We were all stumped and as I feared, it is an import that spreads seeds by air. No wonder I have so many growing in my front garden bed!!! Yikes!!

They have invaded our natural areas (like the Everglades) and so as such, yes, it is an exotic invasive.

Yes! It appears to have the potential to be highly invasive in my garden areas. Another alien plant that will probably be a serious invasive plant soon. It's not a cute blooming plant either. The blooms are so tiny that they are pretty much unnoticeable. The bulbs can get quite large and compete with the other plants around it for water and fertilizer.
