Hydrangeas Peonies Celebrating Gardening: 2015 Plant Identifier Garden Ideas: Master Level
All of my peonies closed up shop (stopped blooming) several weeks ago. Then, my oldest Itoh 'Garden Treasure' popped out another bloom.

anyone else had surprises like this?

Wonderful! I've never been that fortunate. Did you do anything different with this plant this year?

We started off getting a lot of rain, but for the past 1-2 months it's been very hot and dry. Enjoy the unexpected bloom.
