Many of us have a few in bloom and we're trying to be patient waiting for the dahlias we have to put on the big show but, if you're looking forward to buying more, Swan Island will be taking orders as of August 1st.

I was given a gift certificate so I'll just "take a look", right?

Though I have Citron de Cap, and it is growing, I am anxious to see it in bloom again - it's that time of year.

Enabler!!! lol
That is a very unusual and lovely dahlia. I will take pictures to day although the three that are opening are not fully expanded yet. All red or wine colored.

Maybe I am!

I took photos today but they're still in the camera. Had to deadhead quite a few, surprisingly. I did stake four and found one planted in a bad spot so I lifted it (no tag) and had the ideal spot so I planted it not knowing the color - scary for me! So far I've had Black Touch, Chilson's Pride, Kasasagi (two of them), Misty Changeling and Fubuki Red and White.

My Fabuki R/W is all red. The next bloom looks like it will have the blend though. Just waiting for two others to open a bit more then will take pics.

My first bloom was all red, then the variegated ones began opening. Maybe it's the genes for that particular dahlia.
