These are growing quite tall in the garden at my new residence. In the second pic I'm holding down the tallest one so I can get a look at the top of it. I've been waiting for them to bud and bloom for a couple of
months now.

Maximilian Sunflower (Helianthus maximiliani) . Around here, they start blooming around mid-August.
