This tree had white flowers in the Spring. And now has these berries. Sorry, I didn't take a picture of the flowers. The flowers came out after the leaves - or it could be evergreen - not sure just moved here in March. The leaves aren't really purple. That's just the way my camera picked up the shade.

If the berries are a true color, could be Harlequin Glory Bower , Clerodendrum trichotomum

Thanks Jolana. I checked images of Harlequin Glory Bower on-line and the flowers don't look right. They almost looked like Dogwood flowers, but not exactly.

The berries are more red and the dark berries look almost black

It does resemble Wayfaring Tree (Viburnum lantana)
