I tried to graft 2 this spring and both failed Thumbs down

The smaller one was actually growing roots. So I finally took this failed grafts and rooted both cuttings. Both are doing well.

The only real success here is this little dwarf Pink Singapore that I grafted in 2013, still going strong. The host branch (Hausten white) was cut early this spring and is now well rooted. It is even developing keiki or maybe just leaves on the inflo.

Dumb question: Would grafting be the answer to a broken branch that makes a tree look awkward? I haven't been successful in reattaching any broken branches (4 times) and wondered if I grafted them back "properly" they would have a better chance of growing? Or best to trim the plant back all together?

Sorry. No recent pics. Just been unsuccessful rejoining broken branches all the way around and thought next time it might be better to cut it off and graft it properly would help. So I just trim and/or start a new one from the broken branch.
