I have so many questions about this. Can anyone shed light on why this happens & how to save it as a starter plant. It's on a trailer 'Shiawasee' & mini 'Brazos Belles'. Both form bushy, branchy plants so I thought just to leave it alone to mature above the actual sprouts forming at the soil surface. Should the mama leave which is 1/2" above this sprout be left on or cut back as usual? There's no roots as of yet on this extra growth so should I press it to the soil anchored to make it produce roots then cut it as a new plants? Thanks, Trudy
