Currently blossoming in one of my garden beds. I wasn't able to get the camera to focus on the tiny blossoms, despite many attempts, so unfortunately it is a bit fuzzy but I'm hoping someone will be able to recognize it anyway. I almost think it looks like penstemon? or something else? Last season, I did sow some Penstemon tubaeflorus in that area, but this is a light lavender color rather than white, and very small. I've also sown fireweed in that area, but the blossoms don't look right for that.

You were probably just a little too close, back off a bit and see if if won't focus.

thanks, Bamira. It does look similar! have Alpine Catchfly, but it is pink and the blossoms open out. These blossoms seem to be shaped like tiny bells.

The flower shape is similar to Lobelia siphilitica, so it could be in Campanulaceae.

Scroll to the bottom of the page where you will see a drawing of Lobelia urens, it shows a flower formation which must be a bud about to open, it looks similar to the one next to the lower flower.

There are inflated seed pods forming further up the stem where the flowers come from the main stem, those lower down have long stems shooting from a leaf base.
