I don't know why I had not thought about this, but I have a very difficult spot where it is almost impossible to get a mower. And I think this idea was just waiting for my attention. And we have more than enough daylilies to cover it. A great idea! Thank you for posting Rita! Thumbs up

You have a big project ahead of you.

I found it easier to lay out one row at a time. Then depending on the size of your slope would depend on how many layers of rows you need.

Oh my aching back! I can feel the 'big one' coming on. Judging from the pictures it looks like I have about the same space to cover here with my slope. I do have some tree branches shading the area, so I hope that will not harm the daylilies. This slope has been a real pain for me for nearly 20 years, and I even bought a self-propelled lawn mower for it. But even that slides side ways. I just went out and took a picture of the area where it runs down to the roadway. It has about a five foot drop at about a 40 degree angle and runs almost 50 feet in length. I am concerned about too much shade, but maybe I could try a few plants at a time to see how they do. Here is what it looks like.

It doesn't look like too much shade in the picture but it sure does look like a heck of a lot of work to do that big area. Just keep thinking of how lovely it will be when it is done.
