Sempervivum and Jovibarba forum: Brownie vs. Brownii

These are listed as two separate varieties but they look the same to me. Is Brownii / Brauni just a "Brownie" spelling error that has continued on?

It was determined that they are different semps. Brownii has been sold for many years as braunii. http://www.semperhorst.de/Naturformen%20B/Naturformen%20B%20...
Actually the name should reflect that it is a species semp. Thanks for the heads up Patty.
And I do think there are more than one version out their. Hmmm, now what to do.
Brownie is an legitimate semp.

And to make things more confusing there is also a hirta braunii (but it doesn't look like those :P)

Coincidentally these two chicks of Brownii arrived during the week from the UK. I'll be keeping an eye on them to see how they turn out .
