We have been very fortunate. As a kid of 14, my best friend and her family moved to Au. We promised that we would be BF's forever and write and call... (50 years ago) needless to say that did not happen. But, I was a victim of Aussie fever.
Fast forward to 2000/2001 and my daughter meets a fellow from Sydney at a convention...then she did some promo work in Sydney...they have been in Brisbane since 2004. We saved our nickles and dimes and in 2007 we were able to spend a month and got to see a tiny bit of a beautiful country including Uluru-Kata Tjuta (Ayer's Rock). We have been back a couple more times, and are fortunate enough to be able to go again this year for a couple weeks. The country is beautiful, but so are our two fine young grandsons...
