Not to but in but never pics of my daylilys with the camera on my smart phone because the color does not come true to the naked eye. It takes deep reds and turns them into magenta and also overstates the colors on some others. I use my older 14 megapixel camera. I would always want to be 100% sure what cultivar i am posting and stay close to the color as seen by me and not some generic camera lens.
Nice exercise bamira. A lesson to us all that guessing is a no no in our hobby.

I like to hear what you all think of one. I ordered from Gilbert H. Wild one year. They sent me this as a bonus. It was labeled Happy Returns. It matches the photo of what is in their catalog and on their website as Happy Returns. But when I tried to add my photo to the ATP database it was refused, saying it was to pretty to be Happy Returns. I have seen many sold as "Happy Returns" that look different. Some taller & some shorter Shrug! These are all photos of my plant.

What do you all think?

I don't think it is Happy Returns. I looked at mine and the ones in the database and they all seem to be a little not so green, the petals not so pointed and the main thing that looks different to me is the petal texture. There seems to be an almost puckered searsucker look to Happy Returns that makes the petals look almost transparent, reminds me of insect or nutritional damage. I guess that is what they meant by yours looks too good to be 'Happy Returns'?

Maybe too rufflely? It IS very pretty though.

Claudia,
I went to the G.H. Wild site, but your photo does not look like theirs to me. Their picture does look like 'Happy Returns' to me, just the plant doesn't.
I went back and looked at all the other photos on their site, but did not see anything that I though looked like your plant.

Claudia....I do think it is Happy Returns, a favorite of mine. Claudia your camera is displaying too much green/blue in the hue dept. causing the eye to look green where it should be yellow, the same color as the flower. This may be a camera problem or your editing of the flower.

I do not think it is Happy Returns either. Way too green in the throat.

The moderator did state my was too green. It does not look that green to the naked eye. On Wild's site theirs looks more yellow. But that is subjective. But I feel like Alex...... maybe it is camera settings. I always photograph this one in early morning while in shade to avoid sun glare.

Thanks for the feedback!

Here is the transparent look that Seedfork was talking about in Happy Returns.

I think that "transparent" look can depend on what time of day the flower was photographed. Some of them get more transparent as the day wears on. I'm not sure if that also applies to 'Happy Returns' but it does happen with another small repeat bloomer I have here.

I will continue to call it my Not Happy Returns NOID.......I would never offer it as Happy Returns to anyone. It does rebloom for me so it is not going anywhere any time soon. If anyone ever buys Happy Returns from Wild's I would love to see what they get and compare it!

For comparison, my 'Happy Returns', 2013 & 2012, second photo looks like there is a little green in the throat. Shrug!

I would not call it tiny but it is a small flower. I would measure but one is not open today! It is next to Indian Giver & I would say they are close in size.

I was wondering Claudia because it reminds me of Harry Barras and that is about a 5" flower.
