Planned to enter this in the data base, but not sure how to, as I don't have any other information on the botanical name other than above

One of my favorites. Gamolepis chrysanthemoides I had a couple for about 10 years and they were absolutely carefree and evergreen here. Until an armadillo moved in under them... Whistling needless to say, they are not armadillo proof.

I look at armadillos as another one of Nature's sense of humor. Right up there with the Platypus and the Pangolin... my Aunt India always said some critters (including people) were just so plug-ugly ya had to love them....or at least not hurt them. Whistling

We have at least one in residence under our lake house. They can't see very well, so he lumbers out and noses around. Makes really big ankle breaker holes. Suddenly he realizes he's no longer alone and scoots back under the deck. We repair the lattice and wire when we get up there. He tears it up overnight. You are so right about them being Nature's sense of humor!

Sandi, Gorgeous photo of your Daisy Bush (Euryops chrysanthemoides) I haven't grown that plant in awhile but I found a couple of older photos that I just put in the database. Your picture is really, really nice so I hope you will add it!

I had the plant listed in my file as Gamolepis but I guess it's been moved to the genus Euryops. Hard to keep up with the scientific names anymore, with so many being moved from one genus to another.

I'm not sure either, Lin. I've long since lost the tag for it. All the rain we've had really made these plants bloom. I have them in pots and inground. Now that the rains have stopped, they will pout until fall brings cooler temps.

Funny armadillo story. A neighbor had been bothered by a certain armadillo for months. Being an avid hunter, he turned to his shot gun as his final solution. One night he saw the critter and took aim. ..and shot through his truck tire! Rolling on the floor laughing i didn't say he was a good hunter (rest in peace, Don)
