I think it looks close enough that it could be the same. I've had some cultivars look different from year to year.

Not trying to me anything here but observant, so with nothing other than learning being my quest here. What do we look for in a daylily to determine if it is the correct one or not?
The eye? The color? The bloom shape? The anthers?
I am admitting up front that I am not good at this, but I see nothing there that indicates this would be the same daylily looking at those two database photos. Even the midrib looks different to me.
So please will some of you out there point out the similarities you see?

You may be right, and it may be the wrong Daylily. I just saw that it looked similar though not exact. I don't grow it myself. If you feel strongly that this photo isn't correct you can ask to have it removed. Or I can if you'd prefer? I've just had Daylilies not look quite as they should in my garden until they'd been here for a few years. That's all I meant. Smiling

I would really just love to get some more feedback and other opinions. I would like to hear what others look for when trying to decide? Does a better trained eye than mine see something I don't?
I would like to be able to get better at this. To me they look different, that's all I am saying.

They both are bitone, both have the green eyes but the one Vic posted from Shaw's Sunshine Gardens is a poor representation of a half opened bloom, probably on a cool morning which makes for a deeper color. I sure wouldn't want that to represent what I was selling and personally would have opted to wait until I had a better bloom or at least until it was fully opened.

Forgot to look at the AHS photo. It's not the best either. I found a few online that is pretty close to the one from Strongs Daylilies that Joy posted.

I thought those three photos looked way more like the one posted by vic . I could not see the resemblance to the one posted by Joy. I need more practice .

Thank you Sue. I'm terrible at describing blooms. Smiling
