Thanks to 56" of rain in May and July, this fern flourished in spite of two bouts of hail. I took the photo at dusk so the color isn't great, but I wanted to show the frond on the left that crosses the urn. It's over 54" long!

NICE!!!! I've always wanted a big one of these. What do you have it planted in (media that is, not pot)?

I use Sunshine Mix. It's just like Pro-Mix. Fern needs to be pushed back into the shade, the fronds are starting to yellow a bit from our continual 100 degree days. I use fish emulsion, pelleted fertilizer, and occasionally some Miracle Gro to feed it. It's at least ten years old.

Sandi,
What is the plant you have growing behind the Bromeliad in the pot? It reminds me of one on the plant ID forum. Thank You!

Bird Of Paradise (Strelitzia reginae). It's actually in the pot with the bromeliad.

Well, thank you! We are struggling with 100 degree days, so nothing looks very good.
