Lin, I was thinking it looked like Rattlebox plants I've seen. It's just so hard to tell which is the native and which isn't. And one is invasive so I don't want that in the yard. I may have to wait until it flowers to tell, but I'm not sure when it's going to do that. I didn't see anything that looked like buds or where flowers might form.
I'm going to have to wait until this thing blooms, aren't I? I'll keep a close eye on it for when it does. I need to know whether to yank it as fast as I can, or move it to a better spot in the yard!
Melanie, one key will be to watch for color changes of the stems as it grows older. I noticed some of the possibilities had reddish or brownish stems.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
