Richard, I absolutely love your water feature idea- that will be wonderful!

A water feature is what I'd like to add too. Something that would include a little waterfall that I could hear from the back deck.

Neal, It would be a lot of work, but once don't, I think it would be calming, along with being one of the focal points as well.

I bought a solar wind chime of dragonflies. It didn't get enough sunlight today to charge up the battery, but there are lights out there looking like red fireflies. Problem is, one of the the dragonflies was not attached to its cord -- so it has to go back. Trying to decide if I want a replacement or a refund..................

If I have time tomorrow I'll try to post some pictures of non plant yard stuff (art).

Ok, I kept my word... We have been collecting some of this stuff for years and some of it is starting to fall apart (wagon) being out in the weather

I love everyone's decorations! I have been getting rid of mine. To me, it is like dusting only in the garden. I have to move stuff to clean up around it (leaves, weeds and so forth) several times a year and it is work intensive. Now, if it has to be moved, it gets moved on out. I only have benches, bird baths and solar lights...they don't have to be moved all the time. Statues, garden balls, gnomes and all other such pretties are out of here. Besides, for every gnome, ball or other ornament you have lost space for at least one more iris.

Phillipb2, I like the garden/yard accessories you have. I would not mind having a few of them For me, it helps add more character to the garden.

So many unique and lovely things in everyone's gardens, mine seem a bit boring but here they are anyway.

Large pots are big with me. I got 2 of these at a retail store where I used to work. They were getting rid of stuff from the display dept so I scooped them up. The other is in the front.




DH occasionally will pick me up something he thinks I'll like. And I do!



Of course, I'd love to have real cats decorating the gardens but last time Pippin went out, he got tapeworms and Kili gets into enough trouble INSIDE. I don't want to imagine the havoc he'd raise OUTSIDE.

We need to re-roof the pottery studio that sits right between two gardens - vegetables and flowers.
We're getting an estimate for a metal roof that would be good for collecting rainwater. We know it's
going to rain SOMETIME in California!

When we are not in drought, our fountain is running, right now got to turn it off but still adds some accent to our garden:
