My Miracle looks a lot like NJBob's profile picture all season. Maybe mine is mislabelled?

Here is a pretty one that I got 2 years ago that has red veins. Not sure of the name, though.

Rose, looks right to me. More sun, less red veining.

Rose Peachy Keen is not an easy one to find. It took me around 5 years to get one . They have them now at Eminence Meadows and I Love Hosta . net for around $20 . High but they used to cost a lot more. They are very similar to French Quarter , but with dayglow pink and peach tones.

I don't seem to have much luck with Heuchera this time of year. Hopefully I will be able to find one next spring.

Hi everyone, I've been meaning to post a few photos of plants I like for the shade. Cardinal Flower and Jacobs Ladder (in the left corner).

Jacobs Ladder - Polemonium, I like it for the variegated leaves. The flowers which are suppose to be in the blue family are lavender and very small. These are older photos I found that show it better in the Spring.

Cardinal Flower - Lobelia, Love the intense red! I also have a white one but the bunnies got it this year Sad

I'm still loving everyone's shade gardens! Maridell, does your Jacobs ladder ever bloom again during the summer? I got my first one this year, and it bloomed nicely. All done with blooms now, but plant is healthy. I'm just wondering if I'll be blessed with any more flowers this year...

Hi Brenda, I only get blooms in late Spring, but I still like the texture that the plant brings to the garden. I've had my plant probably about 5 years and it seems real happy to be where it is. Stays about the same size.

I just read that it can be used for coughs (not sure I would want to try) and that if bruised or cut the fragrance will attract cats...hm, I'll have to test that theory on my cats next time I take them out back. Hilarious!

I don't think that our soloman's seal bloomed this year. I am supressing naughty words.

Ha! I just bet.

Really nice, Maridell - I especially like the black shadow with green eyes... Big Grin

Do any of you grow Solomon's Seal in heavy shade? If so how much water do you give it?

The water comes from above, don't water plants except for iris seedlings. Fair to middling shade which really doesn't help you. It is in among shrubs.
