@dave Dave, can we rename the Sedum forum? Maybe change it to Sedum, Hylotelephium, Petrosedum and Phedimus Forum?
It might help with members learning the new names of what was all considered to be Sedum. What do you think?
This was suggested by a member, and I think it is a great idea.
This is still a lot of confusion over the new names that were given to some of the Genus: Sedum.

Adding those three other genera wouldn't really solve your problem because there are also some Sedum species that have been reclassified as species of genera that are not limited to sedums. Rosularia is one example, Orostachys is another, and there are others that couldn't be included in a Sedum Database. The best way to find all of the sedums is to browse by genus instead of using the Sedum Database.

I agree plus we don't want the name of the forum to be really long. Smiling

Zuzu, by 'browse', do you mean to do a search using the search feature on our home page?

When you search for sedum, you are taken to this page:

http://garden.org/plants/searc...

You then have the choice of visiting the Sedums Database or viewing all of the plants in the genus Sedum. The second option is what I mean when I say "browse by genus."

Thank you so much Zuzu. I don't remember seeing the two options before. What a great tool.

Lynn, you might also update the forum description to clarify what plants you cover. I personally get confused over any type of succulent and never quite know whether to search under the Sedum or Sempervivum forum.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

And to find plants you don't use the Home page search, you have to use the one of the Plant Database page. Thumbs up
