I went to add a comment and photo to the tomato hybrid 'Lemon Cherry' and found both that entry plus one for 'Lemon Cherry F1.' Could these be one and the same? I will await the admin opinion before posting further. Thanks.

This is a question for @MikeD to answer because he's the moderator of the tomato database, but I suspect that they are the same and will be merged.

Thank you for tagging me in the thread @zuzu so that I saw this and thank you @Bonehead for asking the question.

There used to be a lot of duplicate entries like this and although I thought I got them straightened out, they keep popping up. You are correct that 'Lemon Cherry' and 'Lemon Cherry F1' are the same variety. If it is in fact being incorrectly marketed and sold with the "F1" moniker tagged onto its name, then it should be added in the "Also Sold As" field and not added to the database as a separate variety.

If you run across more examples like this, please feel free to submit a proposal for deletion from within the database and I will take care of it.

Best,

Thanks Mike for making the correction. My plant was simply marketed as Lemon Cherry, but when I did a search both entries popped up as a match. I figured it was probably the same plant, but sometimes that isn't the case. In any event, I will now add photo and comment. I love the meticulous attention all you moderators/administrators give to keep the database as accurate as possible.
