I'm not in the north but the west coast. Rebloom is very unusual here. Most years I get a few but usually not on the same plants twice. I've had Rebloom on plants that weren't even registered as rebloomers. I do have 2 plants that rebloom consistently for me, Stella's ruffled fingers and of course Stella de oro.

Out watering the foliage tonight and noticed rebloom scapes on Daring Deception and Awesome Candy. Awesome Candy really surprised me as i just got those 2 fans this season and the few blooms i got were done weeks ago. I expect more to come as most i my new transplants are trying grow new blades and its still early for a final tally.

Re-blooms in zone 5 Maine for me are nearly O. I saw 1 on Emmerich's Seventy X Seven; a friend had one on Precious Promises. I have several Emmerich''s described as re-blooms. Summer temps here occasionally get to the high 80s. That seems relevant? I make sure plants get 1" of water weekly.

As you know, Louise, I am adding Emmerich Daylies specifically for Northern rebloom. Between last year and this year, I will have adding more than a few of her Daylilies registered with Northern rebloom. I have asked all of those that I have purchased from about rebloom for them, all have been in Northern gardens, and the feed back has been very disappointing, however I have my fingers crossed. None of her plants that I planted last year have sent up a rebloom scape yet. I have also added Daylilies from Norris and Owens, known for Northern rebloom. If 2017 comes and I don't see a reasonable amount of rebloom from Emmerich Daylilies, I will have many for sale.

Louise, as far as temps we are going to have high 80s here for the next several days till about next Tuesday. Maybe that will help spur new growth who knows. I've added about 20 new plants this year so do not know what to expect but surly i have upped my chances.
We got record rainfall back in June and July was not dry either. So now we finally have a dry spell like normal in are area.

My rebloomers seems to be extended bloomers so far this year unless they are going to bloom again this month. My first to bloom is always my Stella D'Oro and they have rebloomed but with a very small showing the second time and I'm hoping there will be a third. My next to bloom is Early Bird Cardinal. It is a rebloomer but has not stopped blooming since the 3rd of July. My other rebloomers have been acting the same with an extended bloom longer than the single bloom specimens. Here is a pic of my Early Bird Cardinal in early bloom. The more recent blooms are getting much smaller. There is also a pic of my Stella D'Oro (I find the other Stellas and/or D'Oro's I have don't rebloom the same way)

Our summer has been a lot cooler than normal so they only reason I think as to why I have had so much rebloom this year is because of all the rain and maybe they liked the fertilizer I used. I didn't use Milorganite this year because I just never got around to buying any but I did use Scotts all purpose fertilizer for veggies and flowers. It is a slow release fertilizer with a 10-10-10 formula.

First rebloom on Little Wine Cup. These two blooms have petaloid stamens. Little Wine Cup reblooms quite heavily for me.

Rebloom here in my Southern Ontario (USA Z4) garden is becoming more frequent - even predictable with some cultivars. When I first started to focus on daylilies back in the mid 1990's it didn't take me long to realize that there were reblooming daylilies - but, mostly for Z6 & 'further south' (ie - 'Warmer regions') ... Nowadays RE cultivars are becoming much more common in both tets & dips for US Z4 (Cdn Z5) gardeners. There are now even developments toward 'Everbloomers' (Which I'll mention later ...)

These are my most reliable RE plants over the last few seasons (I focus on only diploids) - Red Dundancy + Stella's Ruffled Fingers + Little Wine Cup + Early And Often + Pardon Me + Precious de Oro + Frequent Flier + Stella de Oro + Apricot Sparkles + Rosy Returns + Black Eyed Stella + Sweet Seneca Returns + Purple de Oro + Endless Heart (aka 'Jersey Early Bird Cardinal') + Stella Supreme (NR) ....

I do have RE from others that are less predictable hereabouts such as - Mini Pearl + Penny's Worth + May May + Twist Again + Fragrant Treasure + Mignon + Pink Embers + Happy Returns + Sunset Returns + Stephanie Returns + Dynamite Returns + Red Hot Returns + Three Seasons ...

Two recent additions showing good RE here are Jersey Bounce & Da Kapo ... Also a few of Mike Huben's near-white reblooming (for him) introductions began showing RE here this past season .... I also have a reliable reblooming plant marketed as Ruby de Oro (NR) that presents a problem. I have purchased several plants over a few years (Research?) and found that they were sometimes simply renamed existing cultivars (ie - Pardon Me & Eenie Fanfare) ... However, 3 of several plants trialed are consistent RE types (Similar to Pardon Me - but seem to be stronger rebloomers here -?).

Continuous Re types now being tagged as 'Everbloomers' will become more available in the near future it seems. Some are here now for USA Z6+ ... App's Endless Heart is marketed as Jersey Early Bird Cardinal with over 100 days of bloom predicted. (I expect more such everblooming cultivars to come on the market under the Jersey Early Bird marketing label.) ... Mike Derrow has several introductions & seedlings that rebloom multiple times across the months of his West Virginian summers. With time, breeders will create cultivars that will similarly bloom repeatedly in our cooler Z4 US & Z5 Cdn regions.

Plant breeders with a vision & a plan achieve some great breakthroughs .... Those of us old enough to recall the garden geraniums (Perlagoniums) (sp?) of the 50's & 60's with their sporadic & inconsistent blooming very much appreciate the modern summer-long bloom displays we now take for granted.
