These leaves are smooth, so I do not believe this plant is the Clematis Virginiana, which has toothed leaves. Could this be confirmed?

Thank you.

The leaves look like they might be from a different plant and the frond of flowers are hanging in front. It's a possibility.

bamira,
I was confused about those leaves too ... do you think you could edit the photo; maybe caption it as follows or something similar so that there isn't future confusion?

Could this then be moved to the Multi-plants section of this page, or deleted?? There is already so much confusion between the native clematis and the Asian variety.
