I thought I'd stop in and say hello to all my Texas gardening friends! After a stressful two moves (one to Missouri, the second 5 months later into town due to some landlord issues), I think I'm settled for at least a year now...lol. Still hoping to return to Texas at some point in the future. I really miss my flowerbeds and such but at least I have a decent backyard and a few tomato plants in containers. My parents have been keeping me up to date on the drought down there, sure wish we could send you all the rain we had earlier this year. I have never seen so many storms in one spring. Anyway...just want to say hello!

:) Kim

Wish you could send some rain this way, too. What area of Missouri?
It’s okay to not know all the answers.

Good to hear from you, Kim! Just this morning,.....I was examining some of the babies (seed started)....of the pink Rain Lilies... you gave me some time ago....the bulbs you gave me are mature,...blooming each year....ending with fat seed pods

Sorry to hear about your situation....having to relocate....and I hope you get the chance to return to TEXAS Thumbs up

Keep in touch...further on down the road!

Glad you found us blueeyes. Hope your new position is challenging and enjoyable. I'm sure your parents miss you being in TX. I tried to welcome you from the road on my phone a couple of hours ago, but it's lost somewhere near Blanco county!

Hi Kim. It's so good to hear from you, and I'm glad you were not harmed in the spring storms. Texas is miserable and then some this summer. I'm trying to think of positives about living here, and I'm coming up with a very, very short list. Sad

Hi Kim...so glad you found ATP! We really need a "rain pipeline" to take the excess rain to Texas! Or another Tropical Storm...this time it needs to have a FEMALE name! Female names of such things on average are better rain producers! Same reason we speak of Mother Nature, not Father Nature.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White

It's so nice to hear from everyone! I sure miss Texas, and I'm sure I'll miss it even more come winter here. Things have been so hectic the past week or so, I'm so glad for the weekend so I can breathe a bit.

Hey there Kim!! Sure do miss your smiling face at the RUs! I bet you have more growning up there in pots than some do in their yards down here. It is crisp and dry in a lot of places here in TX. You aren't missing much this year except having to get out in the opressive heat and water your yard. Sticking tongue out
So very glad you are keeping in touch with us all while you are up that way, do hope you make it back to Texas soon. Lovey dubby Lovey dubby
