Hi pirl,
It has been brought to our attention that this daylily commonly sold as Magic Dawn in is actually Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Howdy') and so is being moved to that entry.

Thanks. This was made a popular issue many years ago but somehow it went on and on as being Magic Dawn. I'm glad it's finally been corrected.

I'll just have to periodically check that entry. I do hope we'll get the correct solid pink photo in the there some day as I hope that would help deter the addition on the incorrect ones again.

Yes, I remember this issue being discussed on the AHS Robin at least a decade or more ago so I was surprised to see that the AHS has the wrong picture for 'Magic Dawn' also. I went into the Robin archives just now to check and it was suggested way back that there may be more than one imposter besides 'Howdy', so maybe not all the bicolors labeled 'Magic Dawn' are 'Howdy' either.
