I had Truly Nolan out yesterday about a RAT in my roof. $620 for a year including eradication, trapping, covering entry points and maintenance as needed for one year. This is an older neighborhood with mature citrus all over the place. I've learned a lot about the Ratus Ratus after talking to Truly Nolan. Strange creatures. Wish me luck. I'll trade you ants for Christine any day. Christine? That's what I've named *it*. Christine, after my mother's attorney/accountant. What a rat.

That fee is for one yr support should the survivors find a way back in and the work to seal the entry points... and remove the bodies, of course. I don't have the stuff it takes to fix all that. I can set a trap but all the other stuff must be done or this just goes on and on. Christine has been in residence for only about 6 days, not paying rent and eating way more than she's worth. Gotta go.

I don't blame you...I was just saying, to me right now that's not like the old days when I had free flowing cash.

Yes, October 13th is my due date and it will be a little girl this time I'm looking forward to ANY cool weather that could be brought this direction!!!!

Went to the home & garden show yesterday at the stadium. VERY little garden. The Central AZ cactus club, that cactus seller way out on Cave Creek, a felllow selling Adeniums with a nice photo album of blooms. Asked do you have this one? No. This one? No. Just the common pinks and reds. And then that tree nursery which shall remain un-named. That was the sum total of "garden".
We did run into old friends we hadn't seen for years, and got to catch up while eating a free salad at one of those cooking demos.

Harold, How disappointing not to see more garden. I think it's just too hot.

I used to do the show at the Fairgrounds, back when people had $$ for murals and faux finishing and did well. But I stopped doing the shows 2 years ago. Too many lookers, not enough buyers.

Well, Harold, that's a disappointment. I quit going about 10 yrs ago for the same reason. No inspiration for me. I think it's worth it to go over to California to see a collection of gardens: Huntington, Getty, the flower shows. Those are my idea of garden shows! Glad you ran into your friends though! Bonus!

Whew! Just got in from help DH trim the paloverde. I stand on the ground - both feet on the ground - and suggest branches he can saw off while standing on his 8 foot ladder with the pole chainsaw in hand. Yes, I know the quickest route to drive to urgent care and the emergency room.

How does this little maneuver look to you? Taken 2 years ago when I was having a room demolished and added a patio. The pillars had six rods of rebar each and solid concrete. This is Dominick desperate to get the job done...
