I have some plants that I keep as houseplants that I use as part of my patio combo pots for summer.
This plant when I cut my petunias last winter I put the seeds from the flowers in the pot. When I put it outside this summer the plants started to grow. I did not even bother to cover the seeds with soil. The rain and watering the plant just washed them through the soil.
