After seeing your beautiful caladiums and reading about them in your journal entry, I am definitely going to add them to my garden next year.

Annie, I've never had a more colorful summer and they are simply in your face beautiful. The big white one is Florida Moonlight and I didn't realize it would get so big. I plan to label them when I store them away for winter so I'll do a better job with the planting next year. Some bigger pots will help as well. Plus it will help with the grouping of them, the combos.

Incredible plants even though they aren't perennial for us. I'm already working on a winter storage bin for them. I knew I was saving that burlap for something. Smiling

Isn't it always amazing how beautifully things will work out when you dont plan them? It really seems like the color combos /leaf shape/sizes of your caladiums all look so lovely together. I know that in my garden some of the really best combos happen by chance, not design. In fact, when I spend a lot of time really trying to "work out" something, I usually am disappointed. But when I don't try to plan....This spring I had a blue baptisia come up through a pink peony and they bloomed together....it looked amazing...like some gigantic bridal bouquet or something! I'm definitely going to be repeating that combo if I can.

How are you feeling? Well, I hope. Please do take care of yourself and be careful in this heat.

Best wishes, and good gardening, Annie

Thanks Annie. I am feeling so much better and was given the go ahead to drop two meds, no longer necessary! I feel like I'm winning the battle.

Garden surprises are the best, the Caladiums came to me unmarked, unlabeled, so I had no idea what I was doing. They are so incredibly pretty, any combo would have worked well.

I had some kind of wild verbena come up through a bed of white lilies and just as your baptisia did, it captured the show. So beautiful, the deep bluish purple in the middle of all that white.

Be well, Annie!
