I have a volunteer in my 'tulip' bed, and am wondering if my Helianthus Lemon Queen has found its way across the yard. Do these look like the same plant?

well, I wonder what it is...

The one on the left is American Burnweed (Erechtites hieraciifolius). The one on the right appears to be a perennial sunflower, although I couldn't say which one.

The one on the right looks exactly like the photo in this link:

( I don't want any Burn Weed but I'll be looking for the Lemon Queen; it's a beauty!)

LOL Greene--yes, I pulled that one from the web for comparison purposes with mine. To me, they look the same. It's amazing to me that you all can see such minute differences!!

I had never been able to see 'minute differences' until I started using digital photography. Before editing, each image is so huge that I am learning (gradually) to look for different details.
