When you are down in the garden, you really don't notice how near the streets and all that traffic is. It's nice to be able to drive by and get a view of the garden below. The trees around it that give it privacy are getting old. Most probably planted in 1930 when it was built. Hate to think of losing them. There is a rose garden across the street that we didn't get to today. In the fall volunteers dig up the bulbs and take lots of cuttings to carry over for the coming year. The colors vary from year to year, but always lots of coleus.
