Gone But Not Forgotten

So, let's talk lilies! We can talk about anything related to lilies. I have made a special forum for general discussions, one for growing lilies, and one for hybridizing lilies. Anyone is free to start any threads they wish in those forums. There is also a forum to introduce yourself, and I hope everyone will.

If anyone wants any other forums, just let me know.

Let's keep it clean, and treat everyone nicely. Other than that, c'mon in and let's talk lilies!

Nice to see a lilies cubit Polly. I am finally adding a few new ones this year after struggling with the red lily leaf beetle. Having figured out how to deal with the red devils I am going to try a few new ones and can't wait to get going this spring.

Gone But Not Forgotten

Hi Patti, I have not yet had to deal with the lily beetles, but they are west of us, and east of us, so I expect to soon. I'll be watching for them this year.

Glad to hear you're going to try again.

Our Iowa Regional Lily Society has 2 lily sales a year. We buy wholesale & then sell at fantastic prices to the members--public gets leftovers. We offered 61 cultivars last fall & 31 this sping. Llilyfan Sue & i get the joy of picking them out. How can I NOT add more??? I'm over 200 varieties now. It's fun being an enabler.

Speaking of IRLS' spring sale.. When are we going to pack lilies for it? :)

How about Sunday March 14 from 1-3:30 pm? Looks like at least 1000 bulbs to pack so far. Sue is threatening to come --she suspects we have waaay too much fun at our CR packing party.

There is nothing like the smell of packing lilies! Too bad there wasn't a scratch and sniff we could create to mock that smell when we miss that lily bulb smell. I would package Buggy Crazy's bulb smell, it must be accentuated with the saw dust she puts in there. Mmmmmmm, I can almost smell packing day now ;)
