Bluegrass music took a while to get settled, but once it did it has turned out to be a Great plant. This is a great plant to buy at less cost, but still get great genetics! I am crossing it with a lot of Emmerich flowers. Waiting to see the results.
Thanks

I don't have Bluegrass Music, though it would be one on my wish list if I have room for more in the future! I am curious to know if anyone in the south has it and what would you rate it for rust resistance?

I did get some seeds on the LA that used Bluegrass Music in the cross ....

The bloom on this seedling was one of my favorites this year. I hope it doesn't change too much as far as how the blooms look over the next 2 years. I know seedlings can change from year to year and not look at all like their first year blooms.

'Blue Grass Music' is another lovely Grace daylily as well as an important one to consider in hybridizing for blues tones. I have grown this plant for 5 yrs. Always consistent bloom pattern which for me is early to mid season or mid July, and continues to bloom for about 4 to 5 weeks. No rebloom. I have several sdlgs, in the sdlg. bed with 'Blue Grass Music' as parent.

This is one that I've wanted for a while. That and also Bluegrass Memories. My dad loved bluegrass music.

I've had Bluegrass Music for 3 or 4 years now. It does pretty well around here though it does seem to open slower on cool mornings. It tends to be a mid-late to late bloomer in my garden but has remained pod and pollen fertile for me. On average the blooms are pretty and I definitely think it's worth having around but when it's good, it's GOOOOOOOOOOOD! It does look quite ragged in the spring as I don't think it goes fully dormant but it does die back pretty far. Comes back without any bother though.

I purchased this when it was very new because I play bluegrass music and in the picture the edge was so very blue. It is not quite that blue in real life but still a nice daylily. It is not the most vigorous of all the plants I grow but adequate.. I moved it to a new place where I can keep the weeds at a distance better now. The plant responds to just a little TLC like that. Maybe a touch of fertilize of some kind too. The blooms do not always open real flat like I prefer but when it is good it is really good.

I purchased Bluegrass Music this year from Maryott's, and it sent up a short scape with several buds. The blooms were small, but nice, and one bloom had a little extra sepal material. I am anxious to see how it does in a year; way to new to add any useful stats, or performance remarks.

Gale - That is helpful to know though that it still bloomed for you even though it was a recent new addition. This is information that folks like to know. So thank you! And thanks to everyone else who posted comments and photos! Thank You! Thumbs up Thumbs up

Here in HOT HUMID gulf coast Texas, this daylily was planted in early Spring. Got wonderful blooms and a few seed pods from this little lovely. At the end of August, plant has survived and is doing well. Many daylilies just don't survive our heat and humidity.
