I'm agreeing with the "it drops off after a few days" crowd. Maybe Dave could find a way to "pin" the raffle announcements so they're at the top of the list for the duration of the raffle.

I've been watching and participating in this thread the entire time.

Guess I may be one of the few that agrees with @ardesia; often times I have limited time and 'tunnel vision'; only look at my 8 or 9 favorite forums. I often forget to look on the right side of the screen. Eventually I catch up, go back and click on the thumbs up, read the right side items, but not always in a timely manner.

I have seen ATP on Facebook regarding the prizes. Every so often I look for the schedule showing the current and upcoming ATP events found on the left side under "Goodies". It tells me the raffle date so that I don't miss the announcement and can participate in the one plant that is featured for indoors so far, the Hoya. Since I do not have anything to contribute to the data base or articles to gain acorns, I carefully and slowly use the acorns that I have. Really having fun with this site. The wait is worth it.

I had no idea about the raffles until recently, and I'm on ATP every day! Personally, I have to go searching for it, but it's probably because I leave ATP up on my computer in my web browser and it's usually on the Plant Database lookup pages, I rarely go to the 'home page' for ATP. If I'm not fishing around in the plant database for something or perusing the Daylilies forums, I'm usually in my inbox.

I agree with the idea that having a dedicated link for it would be great!

I do that too, otherwise you can miss a lot!

I set my "ATP" bookmark icon (on Firefox) to go to MY ATP front page URL.

I have a chromebook but when I had a windows machine, I also set my browser to open several pages for me every time I log in: email, 2nd email, Upworthy, ATP, Cubits, Pinterest, Science News Daily, and my local police twitter page.

Update: 1,804 tickets have been sold to 118 members.

Today is the last day!

And only 3 people have bought more than 100 tickets. Everyone else bought 50 or less tickets.

That puts my measly 2 tickets to shame. Wow. A hundred tickets. Those folks have been busy!

That is 500 acorns!!!

And using Dave's numbers above, there have been over 9,000 acorns used to buy the 1,804 + tickets (which I know more tickets are being bought with acorns!). THAT is a LOT of earned acorns!!!

Ugh. Don't tell me my odds of losing again!! I have a fat chance in Heliconia to win this but it's always fun.
