The good news is I don't think I bought as many as last year, so that's a good start!

I got most of what I really wanted this year (and then some!). The problem I'm having now is trying to make all the colors work in a cohesive manner. Despite adding over 200 this year, I've realized I don't have enough blues! Sad

And Sherry too Tom! "Over 200" seems to be a pattern here.

#2.
I have a lengthy list of Historic Iris I want for next year. My Iris beds are cleaned out now and are ready to be tilled and prepared for the Iris to be planted.
I can't think though about next yar..... I'm still trying to figure out how and where to plant all the ones from this year. I don't know if I will have room to house them all Hilarious!

have extra room
buy more iris
need extra room...bought too many iris
make more beds
but more iris
no more room for beds
buy more property
make more beds

do you see the trend, here Rolling on the floor laughing

No, Sorry Arlyn Hilarious! I have no room on my property to make more Iris beds. I live in a Mobile Home Community with limited property around my Mobile Home. So I will have to settle for the
(2) Iris beds I have created on the property.

I will just have to plant the iris rhizomes very very close together. I just finished cleaning out the one Iris bed this morning. I can now begin to transplant the Iris rhizomes in that garden.
The other Iris bed needs to be clean out of weeds and annuals.

PS - - - Did I tell you I have (2) more Iris rhizomes coming in the mail ??? nodding Rolling on the floor laughing

Rob, do you have a friend with a bit of room for plants, a library that needs one, a cemetery or town square? Once you run out of room you can always become a 'squatter' with plant rights.

I was thinking along the same lines Bonnie. But I was thinking closer to home -- wondering if the office building of the mobile home park might need some garden sprucing.......... or maybe around a signage area out near the road.........or maybe is there a garden/park area for general use by the residents.............like that.

I think you're confusing me with Patrick. Green Grin!

I still have plenty of room in my field. I just have to prepare more beds...and more beds...and...I see a trend happening here. Instead of expanding more into my field, I'm reducing the amount of NoIDs on my hill and taking over that area. Just need some rain to soften the ground and the weather to cool down.

Well, I was thinking along the lines of roof gardens... Built over the tops of the mobile homes..... (Yes, slightly crazy but the Japanese did it with iris techtorum).

Well, Mary Ann, you will probably never have as many in containers as I do, which is not a bad thing... I may end up flinging them *wherever* yet. There are two more smaller piles not shown here... and I came home from our meeting tonight w/ 3 more Rolling my eyes.
