I was bummed when I got my Lily Garden order. They weren't able to ship the Midsummer's Eve bulbs because they sprouted so early in their barn and they don't travel well once sprouted. Sad I only ordered a few others because Midsummer's Eve was so expensive.

I got Silk Road for a bonus too.

Claudia, voles got some of mine too. I could tell it was voles because they dug them up, chomped on them and left some pieces lay on top of the soil.

I also had a couple that I got from one vendor that were supposed to be Anastasia but turned out to be Invasion instead. Which is fine by me . I now have 2 groups of Invasion which is a very pretty lily!

I have quite a few just disappear...I just have to buy new ones to fill the spot! LOL

I have an Angela North question. I planted it along with Black Beauty and only 1 of the BB bulbs has showed up here in z6.
Is Angela a slow show?

A few more I am adding, from Valley K in Canada:

Citronella
Smiley
Pink Champagne
Sally Jo Ann
Calgary Tower
FF88 Select
Heathers Promise

I have Citronella already, but I like to get it from different sources. I use it for hybridizing. Not sure it is going to take me anywhere though. I have to say that it is magnolia's fault that I just must get FF88 Select. It is a real beauty.

Sorry to say, but a lot of things are Traceys fault. I know my current lily obsession is.

'FF88 Select' has such a plain name for such a lovely lily. I particularly love the colors and it blooms quite a long time.Thumb of 2010-08-02/magnolialover/2266fa

I'm guessing it stands for Fred Fellner's 1988 Selection, but who am I to know for sure? Smiling With a really nice bud count (18) for me this year and outstanding form. One Canadian breeder (not Fred) uses it in a lot of his breeding. It's a keeper for sure.

uncanny!-is it classed as a side facing asiatic hybrid? or pendant?-identical plant here,''lowana''..magnolia,remind me to post its pic after christmas;';'it is a brilliant breeder-similar lilium,''is -''rascal'',but a lot more red,and all the colours of the blooms on the stem vary[through red/orange],.,i crossed it with asiatic''blackbird'' and have seed.,.
