They are similar in that they are both out to downfacing and in the red-orange range of color. B&D describes Circus Clown as having a gold flush and light spotting in the center. Circus Crowd is described as having no spotting (from an old PNWLS sale description).

From PNWLS I ordered one each of Opulent and Carte Blanche and a bag of Ortegas to use for hybridizing. An understandable short list from PNWLS!

Beer, lilies and a hot summer day go well together...

Yup, I'm getting them aquainted now:)

I thought probably Circus Clown and Circus Crowd were the same lilies, and one company had just put the wrong name on them. Thanks for the info.

Yes, one Opulent alone could blow the budget. That Carte Blanche is very pretty.

I goofed and didn't get my order in to PNWLS in time. I was thinking of getting Opulent and Carte Blanche too. After this summer, I am going to be at the point where I have to eliminate some of the lilies, Iris and daylilies that don't really impressed me. I'm giving them all warning that they have to bloom for their life this year or they may be goners. I did that to Orange Velvet last year and it boomed like never before.

Received my order from Faraway flowers yesterday. Very nice looking bulbs and a bonus one I've been wanting. It will be awhile before I can plant them. Things are a little behind here this year.

I received my order from PNWLS yesterday. I ordered Basel (Peter's Pet), Carte Blanche, Opulent, Secret Message, Big Brother, Painted Lady, Pearl Jennifer,
Pearl Justine, Pearl Loraine, Pearl Stacy, Avocado, Candy Club, Cheops, Menorca and Circus Crowd. I will have to find a place for them in my Garden. I can't wait to plant them.

I received my order too, and was very pleased with it.

I noticed it was mailed from The Lily Garden, so apparently Judith Freeman is the keeper of the bulbs, which is a great thing.

I had to put mine in the fridge, as it will be another two weeks or so before I can plant.

But, great deals on some great bulbs.

Can't have those babies sitting at the post office. I'd be afraid they would walk off with some lily lover. Well, what did you get Diann?

Nice list Phyllis. I can tell you Salmon Star and Conca D'or love beer. mine spent a month or so next to it, and did very well.

And Susan, what did you get from Faraway Flowers?

Guess its official. This is the kind of activity I wished for in January.
It seemed like eons until I got to this point.
Now that its here I am not so inclined to jump off a bridge.

Guess the Pearl Jennifers are mine then, LOL.

Orange Art and Bali Hai are lovely.

I think you're right, it's official. Cold here today, but that's changing tomorrow and it looks to be really good from then.

My orders from Faraway Flowers and eflowergarden arrived and have been planted. I'm real happy with both orders. I didn't get my membership sent off to PNW and I'm still pouting about that. They had some awesome bulbs listed on the website. Does anyone know if membership runs Jan-Dec, or if I can join in the fall and still order next spring? I did get in on a great sale locally. Monster trumpet lilies--MONSTER- for $2.

PNWLS membership goes from whatever month you join until the same month the following year. So you will get at least two sales out of a year membership.

Hmmm I am pretty sure my membership slip stated to the end of the year...

I'm pretty sure that it goes for 12 months. You could always email them to clarify. I recall getting 3 sales for a "year membership", which was quite generous the first year I joined. But that year I joined in the fall. I guess if the sales are what you join for, then since there are 2 in 12 months, you'd still get two sales, right?

Going easy on lily buying is very, very overrated. Trust me *Blush*
