I have ordered a ton of them to plant this spring. But realize I actually dont have many in the garden now. I am amazed at how many lilies qualify as asiatics.Guess I dont know to ID.
I thought they were 3 feet high and upfaceing.I learn something new everyday

I don't see why not. I think it's put there for common knowledge and use, not like a picture. And it's a factual thing, not something the company can own.

On my website I've used info from the siberian iris society. I think that's why it's provided by a society, or a company.

Polly I think there might be an issue with using any photographs from a garden website.
As you can see how well pirated pix is going, its not anything anyone has been able to police, hence the watermarks on Daves.
The websites use a service for plant pictures anyway ,thats why you see the same picture on so many different sites.
Some growers photo their own and build their own website.

But you were just talking about a list, right, Jo Ann? Not a picture.

Where's that service to get pics? I'll put my camera away. Every picture I've ever had on my website has been one I've taken, or Boojum or Shadow for me. It's extremely time consuming.

When I was at RIT the photo students talked about an Image Bank. I dont know anything about it really.
It would take some talking to the website builders for some of the sites you know of to find out.
Yes I did mean a list.
I think I am over my head here and didnt thoroly understand what you wanted.
I shouldnt try to make sense at 4AM when I posted the above.

Polly ~ you asked for a bloom sequence, so I'll give it a go ~ do keep in mind that within any of these types there will be early and late bloomers.

To start with the very basics, lilies bloom in this order:
Asiatics, then Trumpets(Longiflorum) then Orientals

Crosses between those types generally bloom somewhere in between:
Asiatics, LAs, Trumpets, OTs, Orientals

Add the less commonly grown lilies ~
Martagons, then Asiatics, LAs, Trumpets, OTs, Orientals, then species lilies like L. henryi

I won't go into all the crosses such as OAs, LOs, etc., but you get the gist of it. The smaller the lily cultivar, the earlier it will bloom. For example, the Pixie and Ghost series are dwarf Asiatic varieties and will bloom at the beginning of the Asiatic season.
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?
