This lily society is based in the Northwest United States and was founded by some very prominent lily hybridizers. The roots in this organization run very deep.

Of note for those out of the area of a lily society, but still longing for involvement, there are ways to be involved at some level. Having joined this organization several years ago, I found a way to be involved. Being involved certainly takes your interest to a new level. You get to help out and share your love of lilies with others!

Something this organization does that most others do not, is mail order bulb orders from their twice a year bulb sale out to members. I am grateful for this! And I make sure to tell them how happy I am about it every chance I get. Hurray!

Something to remember about any lily society: without the people behind the scenes doing the work, they do not exist. If you are involved with a lily society, thank you! If you aren't, think about it. Being involved can feel so good Smiling

Sounds like a very active group, Tracey! Have they already sent this spring's bulb list out to members? When is the deadline to return orders? I would like to join and to order and to possibly help the group in some ways, but don't know if there is time left for this spring.

If you click on the link and send in for the membership right away, then you would be able to be involved in the sale this spring. The sale should go up within the next week or so. The cost for membership is $15 per year, paying multiple years saves you money in the long haul.

I do love my lily society and hope some other folks will make posts about their lily society too. I just thought I'd start things off here with PNWLS.

Hope you all love it as much as I do.

Thanks. I clicked on the National lilies.org and found a society 200 miles from me. That is the closest one, so I sent off an email and received a very welcoming response. Their membership fee is only $2 a year! They have meetings, shows and a sale so I plan to take part in all if possible. Turns out, the club is based in my mother's hometown, and I have family there still, and the president of the club works with my favorite uncle! So glad I joined here and made these connections. I'll join PNWLS too.

I joined PNWLS as I understand they have great sales. After I watch it awhile, I'll see if there isn't some way I can help out, too.

I love the society. They have get lily sales. Only one that I've found that will mail lily bulbs to you if you live faraway. Well worth the membership cost.

Everybody get their PNWLS bulbs? How'd you all come out? Loved getting my box. It's always such a treat. One of my most favorite deliveries!

I received mine. All I ordered were in there and all were nice.

I consider it an excellent opportunity to get good bulbs at a great price. I had been a little leery, as irises I have received in past years from the iris society sales were not so nice. But these were great.

It kind of threw me when the box came from The Lily Garden, since I had an order in there. I was looking at the bulbs, and thinking what I had ordered from The Lily Garden, and got confused. But I finally figured it out.

I will being joining before the fall sale, and I will get my order in right away.
I'm counting on you all to help me remember! Thumbs up

No, they're not as big as Buggy Crazys. But they are nice size, and in good shape. I can get a picture. They're still in bags, but I'll take one out, and take a picture of the bags.

Be right back, don't go away. LOL.

We all know, well anyone that has had a Buggy Bulb arrival that is, that there are no comparisons to hers for size. There just aren't. That said, this doesn't mean that others are not top notch and great sized.

I love the PNWLS for the diversity in bulb selection, and that a good deal of them come directly from those that grow them. Fresh from the farmer...it doesn't get much better than that Smiling

That's good! Thanks so much for posting those. I really like the complete descriptions on the tags. My printer doesn't work half the time so I don't always have notes of what I've ordered, how big it gets, special needs, etc. Another thing I like about Buggy Lisa is how she gets real specific about pickiness on bulbs regarding shade or moisture. If she doesn't keep that info on the website, I'll be lost. I also like knowing where a bulb originates, what that climate is like.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll get my last 40 spring bulbs planted.

My lilies from this great society are beginning to bloom now. The quality of the bulbs showed itself at planting - now it is showing up in the quality of the flowers. And great communication. I was inadvertently overcharged for postage. I didn't know it. I was informed of the discrepancy and a check was sent to me. Wow!

ONE STEM of Hiawatha the first spring after planting!
