there is an easy to grow bulb co-op going on now. they don't have a lot of choices but a pack of 6 asiatics is under 5.00. same with orientals although those packs may only have 3 bulbs. we have a 30% off most things. and a 35% discount on alstroemeria and begonias. co-ops....mamajack's way.

thanks for letting me post here.

Mamajack, where is this co-op?
I'm also looking for lily seeds--since Buggy is out, can someone point me towards a seller? Thanks!

I am in Michigan and I am looking for someone who is dividing/splitting up their daylilies and wants to share them with someone. We had a record breaking (BAD) winter here in Michigan and my fledgling Lily garden did not recover. My "ditch lilies" made it through, by the dozens so I have tons of plain orange lilies, I am oranged to pieces. But my muptiple colored ones that I invested in 6 years ago at a special farm in Traverse City for $15 each have mostly died off. Out of the 17 different ones I purchased only 3 made it through this tough winter, and I have always had great luck with them. Even the ones my Mid-Michigan plant exchange friends have exchanged with me are wimpy looking (solid red and solid yellow). If anyone wants "ditch lilies" I will be more than happy to send a few dozen their way in exchange ; ) I will pay shipping to anyone who would like to share their over abundance of lilies with me, please. Otherwise, I will need to pay, which is not a bad thing but as all of you know here in Michigan the economy is so bad. I am working two jobs, my husband is retired ( due to old age not car company), and we are paying on all his medical bills from his suden open heart surgery May of 2009. I have purchased Irises off Ebay to start replacing that whole garden I lost but I am really pressed with money. I am helping my senior neighbors (older that me ; ), who have also lost their gardens. I don't want this to be a whining thing, I am not a quitter or sniveler that is why I have stepped up to the plate and work 65 hours a week. A wonderful seller on Ebay turned me on to "Cubits" and said to check out different spots for more Iris'. Well, I did not share with her that I have other specialty gardens on my near acre that I lost due to the winter. Anyways, I need to go off to work today, sorry for what I am now reading as a "Dear John/Jane letter". I just wanted to see if anyone out there has extra daylily plants they are dividing and want to get rid off; I will send you the postage money. No, I am not partial to other lilies, I like them also and would love to have them. They just cost a whole lot more money so I never even thought to invest in them. Thank you so much, "Colourful Cathy" from Michigan

Hi Cathy,

Cubits has really not been going long enough to get much trading yet. It's fine to post here, I just don't want you to be disappointed.

And have you posted over in the daylily cubit? It seems that is more what you're interested in.

I saw this sale, it looked like a pretty good deal. I know you would rather trade, but maybe check this out?

I am (hopefully) going to be moving this winter to a place I cannot grow plants and will have no job. I am looking for lily species seed to sell so I have some sort of income while I look for a job. I have only been able to get some trumpet seed (no flowers this year), but have other seeds I can trade, Eremurus, Native bulbs and plants, misc flowers plants and some Corsican mint seed. If anyone wants to trade for species lily seeds or maybe even other lily / flower seeds let me know!
