@KentPfieffer since we are the topic of your intros, what became of this seedling? Is it going to come out ever? Dear Lord don't toss it in the compost heap, I will have a coronary for sure!!

I agree with Lori!!! Don't toss that one if it only has one bloom to a stalk. It is a lovely blue one.

One thing I love about the ATP data base is the information there. An example of this is the parentage information. Looking at Lent 'Livy' I see that it is from a cross of 'Silk Road' and ' Gotta have It'.

One thing I love about the ATP data base is the information there. An example of this is the parentage information. Looking at Kent's 'Livy' I see that it is from a cross of " I've Got To Have It' and 'Silk Run" and is an improvement on both. I can look at pictures of both parent iris.....I love pedigrees and pictures......

I don't think that you jumped the gun on re3serving names. It is difficult enough to get them. I liked the blue or purple area abound the beards on the pink. Do you just do tall bearded?

I do some SDB crosses, a few IBs and BBs, and even tried a couple of tet MTBs this spring. But, I've tossed almost all of my median seedlings and even the keepers are mostly just for breeding. Kind of excited about the 2015 class, though. I used Paul Black's Worry Wart, Tom Johnson's Stop and Stare, and Rick Tasco's All Ruffled Up in a bunch of SDB crosses. The first two were new to me, but I've used All Ruffled Up before. It passes its wonderful form on to most of its children. Some of them have been a bit too tall for SDBs, but other than that, it seems like a very nice parent.

Stop & Stare color was not as intense in the soil here & not only in our garden. The colors are often brighter in the PNW than here. I didn't get any SDB crosses done & others did not take.
