Just now got my 5 cutting to root as it is starting to develop 1 inch leaves.
But, I'm noticing something different on this cutting. It has a small snub emerging in the middle of the leaves. The small snub has what looks like 7-10 round smaller snubs on it. It's still very small so it hard to take a picture. I'll get the wife's camera tomorrow and see if I can get a good pic to post.

But, my question is: Is it possible to get an info from a cutting that hasn't fully sprouted it leaves?

Night owl, the majority of the plumeria forum folks are asleep right now. I too have what you call 7-10 round smaller snubs on my recently rooted cuttings. So I am eager to read their response to your question.

I have lots of inflo. forming now. These pictures were just taken of four different varieties.

NICE!!!!! At first I was like no way. It can't be. The leaves from this cutting haven't even turned green yet. But as it got bigger and bigger I thought just maybe.

I'm in a bind here, since this is a cutting that I have that's producing an inflo. Is it wise not to fertilize due to the size of the leaves and is even ok to water it now?

Congrats Lucky and Kadie, those are definitely inflos!

Nope, don't water yet, I wait till 4 big leaves are formed. Especially when you are rooting a cutting and an inflo comes out, the energy is getting directed to growing the inflo so the roots are most likely not established at this time. If the soil is too dry, you can mist a little but hold off on full watering and fertilizing.

From the time I took those pictures this morning till now, one new purple leaf has opened up to a full green leaf. Didn't really expect it to happen that fast

Hi Lucky! Glad to know your plumeria is finally leafing well!

Just be careful in watering right now, I noticed my area suddenly had a cool down today went down to 53F overnight..that is rather cool at this time of the year. Watch your temps and give intervals in watering when it is cooler.

How did your plumerias do this past heat wave this week?
I had to move all of mine to the backyard under the patio.
Lost a bunch of leaves. They turned yellow to brown then to droopy to then just falling off.
And all that was just two days in the heat wave. I felt sad for them
I had to do a lot of trimming of the leaves that were badly sun burnt that were going to die and fall of anyways?
Though the two with thicker stalks didn't suffer no damage at all

This will be a learning curve for me next year when I decided to try and put some in the ground while still potted. Searching now for the best place to get shade after 1pm

No heat wave here. We had a lot of rain.

We had triple digits for 6 days straight. All the way up to 108 degrees

It is actually chilly here this morning, at least with bare-feet, shorts, and tee. A cold front has dropped our AM temperature into the low 60's (with a brisk, north wind). The next two mornings are predicted to get down into the upper 40's. I hope my plumeria with inflo won't be affected. It is far too early to begin moving my plants inside. I will bring my Vanda into a greenhouse today. They are more sensitive to temperatures such as we will have through Monday.
