@stilldew - Susan, thank you! I agree, I love the color, although do take note that the color on one picture is somewhat different because of it being lit by the setting sun. I would classify the color as a purple-ish mauve, but in the sunlight, it is gorgeous Lovey dubby

@beckygardener - thanks, Becky! Technically, the only yellow was Penny's Worth...the other two (Royal Frosting and Lyonnesse) are near-whites. Big Grin Royal Frosting has a VERY NICE near-white color Lovey dubby ...it looks a little creamy, but is very close to white in person, even early in the day. Between that, the great scapes, the great substance, the fragrance, and the bud-building, it is starting to become one of my favorites.

Sorry for the late replies...between the holiday weekend with family and work starting back up, I've been busy! In fact, I had to pull seedpods in the dark with a flashlight last night, which was a little crazy.

I've had several blooms this month on Smuggler's Treasure and it still has three buds. I'm new to ATP so haven't taken the time to learn how to post pictures or get around. Just have enjoyed reading all the daylily posts and must say this site is addictive.

Thank You! for welcoming me. I have read lots of posts on the forums here and am amazed at the helpfulness from you. I am especially enjoying the Daylilies forum. Just got back today from a daylily potting party and plan to go tomorrow to Alabama to a daylily club meeting. Love the Daylilies!

I was picking seed pods yesterday and found a scape on Wonder of It All. It hadn't yet bloomed this summer but I still think that is rather late for this cultivar.

This year has been so fantastic for all the plants, but especially for the Daylilies. I have rebloom for the very first time, and Wild Child has a scape with five new buds. I am sure hoping that the weather holds and I get to see the blooms!!

Betsy - I like that name, "Blood, Sweat and Tears". I wonder if it was named after the band? .... Smiling

Blood, Sweat and Tears is a Karol Emmerich daylily. She uses religious related names, Blood, Sweat and Tears was named after the movie The Passion of Christ per her website in the section daylily names. I like how she explains why she picked a name.

Betty - Thank you! I had no idea she named it after a religious movie. That is pretty neat!

I had read somewhere that a hybridizer (I don't remember who) names daylilies after songs (or maybe it was the music artist). Can't remember which now.

With so many good names already taken, it sure is challenging to come up with new and unique names these days!

Becky, I see at least four names in your quote at the bottom. Go figure. We just have to use our imagination.
